thanks og4667!! It's official, I'm adding the Royals to my card on the runline. Here's Why:

Yes, we all know the almighty Stephen Strasburg is starting for the Nationals today and he is a huge favorite according to the snakes in Vegas, but I think they are giving him too much credit and this line is inflated. Royals are 4-1 in their last 5 during Game 3 of a series and 10-5 in Game 3's when coming off a loss. Bannister is nothing special I will admit that, but for some reason the Royals treat him well in certain situations. For example, the Royals are 4-0 in Bannisters last 4 starts with 4 days of rest, they are 5-1 in Bannisters last 6 starts following a team loss in their previous game, and the Royals are 5-2 in Bannisters last 7 overall starts. As I dug deeper I found out that the Nationals are just not a good inter league team and their even worse against right handed starters. Check this out:
Nationals are 5-16 in their last 21 vs. American League Central.
Nationals are 1-5 in their last 6 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30.
Nationals are 1-8 in their last 9 games vs. a right-handed starter.
Nationals are 1-8 in their last 9 interleague games vs. a right-handed starter.

As for the Umpire in this game we got Hunter Wendelstedt calling balls and strikes. Not a good sign for the Nationals. In the last 10 this guy has umped Nationals' games, they are a miserable 3-7, and of the last six they have been able to only muster one win out as they are 1-5 in their last 6 games with Wendelstedt behind home plate. To make my case even more for the Royals I found out that the Road team is 4-1 in Wendelstedts last 5 interleague games behind home plate. And to top it off when the Nationals come off a win they win the next game 0.375% of the time. And they have won 2 in a row already so the averages say they lose this game. I'm not gonna take the nice value of +240 on th Royals, but I will back them at +1½ +100 for insurance. This is not as big as a play as the first 2, but I'm gonna roll with this one.
