I generally loathe taking UNDERs because #1, I hate rooting against offense and #2 it seems like bullpens usually F these up. However at Comerica Park today, Jeremy Bonderman offers a key possibility to getting an UNDER.
At Comerica, Bonderman is 1-2 with a 2.38 ERA in 6 starts with 6 of 6 hitting under. He has also made 6 day starts from what I can gather in 2010 in which the average # of runs scored has been 7. 8 straight starts have fallen at 9 runs or under. Atilano has been better on the road for Washington with a 3.55 ERA. 4 of his 6 road starts have fallen to 9 run totals or under and only his last start vs. CLE did the opposition wind up with more than 4 runs. Add in two pretty solid bullpens and if these starters can get deep into the game, I like Bonderman's UNDER run to continue at home.
