Rowland-Smith's a suicide bomber & Suppan's the $12M man bringin his 6+ ERA back to St Louis, so we ain't much likely to see no pitcher's duel & you can probably take that to the bank.
But here's what we do gots a good chance of seeing really....Rowland's gonna be much more effective than he was in Texas, & Suppan gonna get hit but not with devastating consequences like in Milwaukee.
First off, Rowland & Fozzie Bear need to get the eff outta town if Rowland throws another stinker tonite cuz this shit's getting rigoddamndiculous yo. But Fozzie ain't stupid & neither is Rowland, and unlike down in Texas a flyball pitcher like Rowland can survive at Bush Stadium where Cards offense just ain't got the mustard. In fact it reminds me of that old Hank Williams Jr. song....but I digress.
Suppan's gonna be better too, and let me tell you why.........DEFENSE.
Brew Crew couldn't play defense if Prince's next 100 lbs depended on it. Even Craig effing Counsell's floundering to make stops in Milwaukee.....that's flat out worst place for a contact pitcher like Suppan....and this move got more to do with Cards brass who know wtf they're doing rather than Duncan thinkng he can "resurrect" washed up Suppan. cuz there just ain't many teams on which Suppan's gonna be worth more than hill of beans.
