Call me crazy but even with their recent history against the Red Sox, I love the Phillies with Hamels today.

You're crazy. History or not, Redsox bats are on fire. Recent history > old hickory dickory junk history.

I've already played the Phils, but it has as much to do with Wakefield as anything. He (like many knuckleballers) often gets clubbed the second time he faces a team. This year, for instance, he gave up 2 runs in 7 innings vs KC in the first meeting, then 9 runs in 3.2 innings the second time against the Royals. Against the Orioles, he gave up 2 runs in 6.2 innings in April, then 5 runs in 2.1 innings the next time he faced them. Wakefield dominated the Phillies a few weeks ago (when everyone was dominating them).

I'm hoping the Phillies drill Wakefield tomorrow and Hamels can keep the hot BoSox bats down enough for the win. I might even play the over.

Thanks for this great point. I still dont know if I can pull the trigger on the Phills but I am definitely on the over big! I may pull the trigger on PHI in the morning. Plus the NL as a whole is playing the AL much better this year. Maybe the NL will win an AllStar game for the first time in forever!

Your not crazy I like this play tomorrow. Hamels is good pitcher he should be able to keep the hot Red Sox hitters to a minimum. If not hopefully he gets enough support to win. Good Luck to All
