griffdog's Saturday MLB plays & leans
There's a lot on the board for Saturday that I like. Not locking in anything until the morning, since I want to see if there's some movement with a few of them, but I already know what's going to be locked in when I rise and what could be at some point during the day.

    Definite Plays

    Yankees RL:
After struggling a lot throughout the season, both Rodriguez and Vazquez have pitched solidly as of late. But Wandy's not had much success on the road, and after squeaking one out last night, I expect the Yanks to get back to their comfortable winnin' ways at home.

Rockies ML: Hammel is pitching very well recently, while Morrow has had no success on the road this season. Love the line where it is right now.

Tigers/Pirates under 8 1/2: Bonderman has pitched well at home this season. Maholm's been Pittsburgh's best starter this season, and he's turned it up a notch recently.

    Potential Plays

    Rockies/Jays under 9 1/2:
Risky? Sure. But there's a lot of value in it, even if one of the starters struggles.

Giants ML: Time for Zito to get his first win against his old team (he's 0-4 with an 8.85 ERA in four career starts against the A's). He's come back to earth after a blistering start, but this is a good spot for him to get back on track. Sheets has struggled on the road this season (0-3, 7.79 ERA), and outside of that little stretch where the A's went 5-2 vs. Baltimore and Detroit, they've been terrible on the road (3-16 in their other road games outside of that series).

Dodgers ML: Like the Dodgers to bounce back from a shellacking, but I might stay away from playing this one straight and instead use it in a late evening parlay.
