If Johnson had a good as a batting lineup as the Phillies, he would be given the spotlight he deserves.

Now he'll probably break his leg and will never be able to pitch again...

Halladay pitched for the Blue Jays his whole career and EARNED his way into the spotlight. Go look up who has the most complete games in the last 3 years.

Johnson is good, not sure better then Halladay. Have Johnson pitch in the AL East for 7 years then we can see what Johnson really has. Halladay pitched well for many many years in the toughest diivision in baseball, GL FBT

not to take anything away from johnson BUT to mention him in the same sentence as halladay is crazy... johnson is good but the bullpen has to come in for him... halladay, on the other hand, is basically a day off for the bullpen... therefore, NO COMPARISON!!!

Stupid thread. Both are stud #1 pitchers. No need to compare them. End thread.

Both are probably top 5 pitchers in the NL. Glad to have at least one of them on my team...

Both are very good, but one bad outing does not mean that Halladay is overrated.

Halladay has some bad outings and isn't as consistent as people make him out to be. I've seen him blow up a lot last year even to medicore teams

All the best Deesel...I like the thread. J.J. has had the novelty and all- One game does not a career make...Fantastic players feel their losses, eat them breathe them baby and they get stronger and meaner. As of this point RH has my vote. Cheers

And this statement is backed by what facts and/or testimony from which Phillies players?
To claim that Josh is markedly better than Roy is one thing, as youre certainly entitled to your opinion (as wrong as it is). These types of statements will leave ones mouth often when they drop a bomb on Roy, the Phils lose, and he costs you a boatload with his -200 odds every game. He cant win all 35 starts with 35 CG's, yano?
However, to say that Halladay has NO trust from his teammates is a wild statement regardless of what your opinion is. I dont think any player takes the field ready to chalk the game up as a loss, especially behind ROY HALLADAY ???????
That was really a crazy statement hahaha
