ok so yesterday was a rainout day. My mets got postponed which was two of my picks, but today i am going with them again and will put the same spread about them here. Yesterday the cardinals killed me again. Everyone of us has one team that pounds us and mine is the cardinals. They just left their bats in St louis when they went to L.A and they showed they are not the elite team of the central. So here are my picks for today. Yesterday went 0-1 which brings my season total to 4-6 so hopefully will do much better today.
New york Mets -1.5 (155) and the new york mets -147
ok so i am going two days in a row with this team. The rainout wont hurt and double header today.
What can i say i am not a believer in this San Diego team even though they have been proving me wrong the whole time. This line shows me that the linesmakers don't believe in the mets offense either saying they should win but making a big number on the run line. I think lasts night game will push the mets to keep winning at home. Like i said in yesterdays post the mets are a great home team. Santana oh what can i say about him. He is still a top pitcher but i dont think e is the ace he use to be. He hasnt been really getting the run support he needs and hopefully today the mets can give him 5 or 6 against a 5-4 latos from the padres. I really do not like betting on my favorite team but once again i can't stay away here, I probably will pay for this.
The reds -1.5 (even) over the san francisco Giants
Look for the reds to bust out of the mini slump they have been in against the Giants. The giants wont have one of their Aces on the mound and the reds will have the rookie sinsation on the mound. Leak skipped the minors and has proved to be excellent. I love the reds here, and quite honstely i would rather just take them to win straight out but I don't want to give up -200. That is too much for me to give with the reds, but i think they will win straight out, I am just not paying that price.
Detroit Tigers (115) over the Chicago White Sox
I feel that here is a game i wasnt going to touch in the beginning, but after looking at it decided this is a good price for a team that has a good shot of winning the game. When I saw that Danks was pitching i was like there is no way i am touching this game then i saw that he was 1-5 over his last six games. I am a firm believer of taking teams that are playing against teams that have streaks. I usually am a streak breaker
. Mags will be back in the lineup today for a high scorer affair here. This could be a game to take the over also.
So today will be a bounce back game with these 4 plays. Also i am taking johnson and the 1.5 over the phillies but just doing a small play on it. Hopefully i can turn my streak around and get on the right path. Hopefully we all can win and beat the books. I love day games as it gives me a chance to build the bank roll before the night games
