The Giants are the only sports team I'm a fan of. But I'm not sold on the greatness of Cain. He definitely is a solid pitcher, but he isn't a dominating pitcher that will have sub 3 era for a long time. I hope I'm wrong, but I see him around 3.0-3.3 era average kind of pitcher.

If he was on a team that scored runs his achievements would be much better recognized. People put too much emphasis on W-L record.

Cain always has a meltdown late season, he doesn't have the stamina to finish the season, only exception was last year, during playoffs.

What happens years past is Lincecum would suck mid-season, then miraculously get better about the same time Cain starts to breakdown, so giants W/L record stayed about the same. I don't know if they plan this or it's biorhythms or what... but that's how its been for years and its how I predict it'll play out this year
