This was maybe my lock of the month, year, or whatever the hell you wanna call it. I know there are no such things as "sure things" in baseball wagering, but this was as close to a "sure thing" as it gets, I mean I posted this play yesterday, come on! Of all the stats that I dug up, two were icing on the cake that just solidified this as a Huge lock. One; every time these teams have met since 2002 the home team has swept the series, and two; Mr Tichenor would surely be going to 14-0 behind home plate this afternoon. And as I predicted the ML would be coming down, as the public bet up TOR to avoid the sweep and Francis and Co.
So I hope you jumped all over this play and I'm sorry I couldn't post from my sportsbook my other plays today. My new phone got fycked. Just got the new Sprint 4G HTC EVO (the phone is kick ass btw) and some jackass at the book spilled his fyckin beer all over it (I mean wtf was he doing drinking at 8:30 in the morning anyway???) Needless to say I've been going back and forth to the sprint store. With this COL pick for today, that makes 3 straight on posted plays for 30+u (should be 4-0 but got screwed on the NO ACTION BOS game). I didn't even find this out until last night when I went to cash my tickets. I never watched the game to see if DK started. I took a nap after watching half of the US soccer game, woke up and saw a 10-2 score and was like "Fyck yeah another winner", but when I got to the book I looked at the board and saw that dice didn't start. This sucked because I hit every pick yesterday. Speaking of NO ACTION, I'm glad the Colorado game didn't go the full 9 innings the other night as my under play would have lost, however because it didn't go the full nine it's NO ACTION and I get my money back
Just for information sake (and no this ain't some hindsight 20/20 bs I'll post the fyckin tickets if need be), here are my plays I made today, aside from my posted play of COL:
Soccer:
Slovenia/Algeria Under 2 *The under has been a lock so far, especially teams of this caliber. Ticket is posted
MLB:
KC/Cinci Over 8.5 -105 *This was defiitely my second biggest lock of the day. With the combined ERA of these two starters, this total was way too low.
Yankees -1.5 RL -155 *Hughes on the mound against Mohler, I mean come on easy pick here
Yankees Over 9 -120 *Moehler has given up on average 8.62 runs over his last 5, and Hughes is good to get up about 3-4 runs
MIN ML -138 *Really thought Slowey would've have pulled this one out
NYM Over 8 -110 *Millwood...enough said. Almost the same exact over scenario as the Yankee a game above
"Off the Record" record for the day 6.13.10 (non-posted plays but played nonetheless):
Soccer 1-0
MLB 4-1
"On the Record" record for the day, 6.13.10 (posted this play, COL ML, yesterday at 8:30pm as that's how confident I was in it):
MLB 1-0
Total Record over last two days
On the Record: 3-0, +30u (should be 4-0 with the Boston game from yesteday)
Off the Record: 4-1-1, +35u (the push coming in the Argentina WC match, I had Arg -1)
Total Record: 7-1-1*Comment -

#87The following is my response to a poster in another thread. I think it's important that it's incorporated into my official thread.
Not at all. Just throwing a caveat out there that you should never "tail" anyone blindly on a play, especially on a forum such as this. Now don't get me wrong, I've tailed people in the past on plays but that's only because they're real people. I talk to them in person and know their betting history and reputation. Even with that said, I still have my own opinion of a play before I ever consider wagering on it. I do my own research on a game, form an opinion, compare that opinion against a few select individuals, and proceed to make the best/logical play that I can. I post my plays, researched only plays, on a suggested basis. I suggest my researched picks to this forum not as guarantees, but rather as educated, researched guesses as to the outcome of a certain event. I expect people to come to my thread with an opinion of their own, based on their own research. If they see a play of mine that they haven't researched, or don't have an opinion on, then I suggest that they leave, research the play, if they so choose, and come back, or not, and leave positive criticism as to how they view the outcome of the event in question.
Now I know a lot people do not like doing research on the plays they make, or in fact don't have the time, and that's fine. Those same people, however, shouldn't be complaining when they bet too much of their "real" money and lose a play because they never took the time to form an opinion of their own. But hey, everyone is entitled to do whatever they like with their own money, right? Which brings me to another point, i.e, the slandering of the so called "big bettor."
Too many people on this forum rip into others for making "big bets," or rather they bitch and moan while throwing the "big bettor" under the bus, simultaneously implying through their tripe mocking that the "big bettor" is a fraud or some type of charlatan. Who gives a shit about the dollar figure someone wagers? What's the definition of a "big bet" anyways? We don't know, because the words big and small are relative terms. Your large might be someone's small, or vice verse. My advice to those bitching about wagering amounts, is to block them out. Look more into whether you like the actual play(s), because as I stated above, wagering amounts are all relative anyway. Don't focus too hard on the wagering piece of the puzzle alone.
So you ask, "Why do you post your bets according to big or small?" I'll tell you. It's because it's a gauge as to how I feel an event is likely to turn out, a confidence factor if you will. Then you might ask, "Well what's the point of showing us your betting tickets?" I'll tell you. It's to let those know, who do follow my thread, that I put my money where my mouth is, win or lose. I guess it's sort of a "caveat emptor" to let my readers know that I'm wagering the dollar amount "range," wait let's scratch dollar amount and replace it with "confidence factor," that's been defined in my wagering legend and that I have placed on a particular sporting event's outcome. So if we can get past the melodrama of the "big bet" chasm, then we can move on to the picks themselves.
My advise to those who continue to bitch about someones picks alone, would be to do some research on the games you like (before you look into someone's thread), form an opinion of the games you like, and simply compare what you have to a select number of individuals that you have confidence in. If you don't agree with the picks in the thread you're viewing, simply leave the thread and proceed with your best judgment, or if you're going to leave a message do so with the intent of offering constructive ideas as to why you don't agree with the author of the thread's pick. Don't come into a thread simply to slander someone.
Basically it all boils down to using your own judgment to form your own opinion that a specific outcome will be the result of a specific event. Use the opinions of others only as a benchmark to add value to your own hypotheses and conclusions, NOT as foregone conclusions in themselves as to the likelihood of specific outcomes resulting from specific events. And once and for all, forget about who's betting how much or how little. Good luck!Comment -

#99Commendable work.
I worked my way up to acutally being able to bet $1,000 on the 2nd-game of the recent Red Sox/Orioles series on the adjusted line (-2.5), & as was worried-as-****.
That, though, was a rather irresponsible move, akin to adhereing to some semblance of a Guiness ad in my head, telling me that "fortune favors the bold", or some shit.I did my due-dilligence on that game, and my homework was taken care of, but, I was happy to come out with some cash to set aside and pay my bills for the rest of the year basically.
These plays of yours seem to be more in the targeted range of proper money management.
Again, though, great job. If your plays are in accordance with mine, I'll surely take notice.Comment -
