Wade LeBlanc gave up 8 ER in his last road start, and 14 ER in his last 14 IP.

I need to make a special note to myself and skip them until they are hot again.

I lost 250 pts in the SBR sportsbook on the Phils tonight. I don't bet $ on them anymore as they have seemed to of lost their 'Mojo'

That is all.
why do you say? sd is a pretty good team with a great bullpen. taking the phillies tonight laying -180-200 is kinda risky. if you really capped this game, the value was on sd. the phils are pretty bad vs lefties.
it was either a sd play or no bet imo. the way the phils bats are going right now, taking them at home on the run line (only getting 8 inn of offense) wasnt a sharp call either.

The Phillies had plenty of chances in the first two innings, then completely shut down. Philly is 6th in the NL in BA and 4th in OPS against lefties (SD 12th and 11th vs. southpaws, respectively, facing Hamels) -- hardly "pretty bad" -- and like I said, LeBlanc had really struggled lately.
Thanks for giving me the hindsight synopsis though, DEX. That salt feels good on the wounds.

You are right Dex. I bet this game purely as a Phillies fan and I had confidence in Hamels. Value was definitely with the Pads.

I tried to tell everyone who started a take the phils thread that they were 1-8 at home vs lefties but people are stubborn.Baseball is definitely one of the better sports to put money on.I am good friends with a couple pretty big local books and they say baseball is usually the toughest sport for them. during the year.

Given LeBlanc's track record, I don't know how you could say there was much value with the Pads. He had a career 6.59 road ERA coming in, and Philly -- as I posted -- ranks in the top half of the NL vs. lefties, despite being horrific offensively this season.

I wonder why? I didn't see that stat, and their numbers vs. lefties looked pretty favorable overall.
Interesting.

This was also a major factor in me backing the Phils tonight. Leblanc should of gotton shelled by the Phillies.

Like I said, they had plenty of chances early. I don't know if this team misses Rollins that much or what, but man.

i had no idea you played the phillies - you make a million different threads each day and half the time you back out of what you originally stated.
yeah - thats what i do. make hindsight posts after the fact.
as closely as you follow baseball, you're looking at the phillies overall BA rather then their recent form?
the phillies were 5 games over 500 going into tonight and were 5-8 vs lefties this year. their 3/4 hitters are lefties as well. yeah, id say they're *pretty bad* vs lefties. "OPS"? ok

yeah, i do it to but only try to now when i have a team that has the superior pitcher, bullpen and offense.
im sure you noticed, but taking a -200 fav on the run line at home you're getting +120 and if on the road -120ish..

I think it was just the element of the unknown. The Phillies have never faced LeBlanc and in the beginning of the year LeBlanc was pitching that bad..

That may be true, but the game is over now.. And you were looking for any reason to see value in the Padres and I'm trying to give it to you.
The Padres hit Hamels well.. And the Phillies have never seen LeBlanc. And even with wins in this series most of their biggest run producers have been struggling.

I'm getting kicked around in every game I played, so I have no room to talk about anything tonight.

It was a punch in the face NC-even after my admiring SD's overall defense, etc I took Philly. Punchy punchy punch punch. You're great, I'm great-looking and tomorrow's a win. Cheers (bit of a joke)

the best way to bet the phillies is ttunder 3.5 to 4.5 runs
it only lost twice out of the last 15 games
i wish i would of bet it from the beginning but i jumped in after the first week and its been money

Don't play the Phillies until Rollins comes back and they get out of this rut. They will be money after the all-star break - trust me.

Really don't know whats wrong with the Phillies but they are not playing well at all right now. Normally like to bet on them but been staying away for about two weeks now and it's not going to change till they change their ways. Good Luck to All
