It has to go down. Nobody's banging it up on a guy who's never pitched in the majors before.

Strasburg might only go like 5 innings though, he could give up no runs and the Pirates still win.

5 innings max for the win, no more unless he is throwing a no hitter

Line opened at -164, was at -200 within 30 minutes. ha. Pitt might be worth a shot if this line keeps going up.

Pirates or pass with those kind of odds. Strasburg should do well but I don't think he will pitch a complete game and their bullpen is trash.

I would probably play Was on the 1st half line, Pittsburgh on the full game line.

Very tempting to take the Pirates in this game. Nationals not a great hitting team and their bullpen is a bunch of gas cans.

what? only lately, mostly that bullpen is solid.
but anyway, that price is absurd for a debut, even if he's pitching to pirates.

hope he gets rocked....still unproven till he gets to the show....numbers are impressive but given the level of players he's facing............i've seen PLENTY of college games and have not been impressed and the minors lack a significant number of SOLID eventual MLB players on each team

This is a great place to take the Pirates +1.5 at least. This is such fade material.

Great fade material but Strasburg is for real, will get 90 pitches, however long that lasts him.

Many rookies do well - Jaime Garcia tearing up the NL right now. Mike Leake is doing pretty well too with no minor league experience. That said, it is not a play for me at -200 something. He may only pitch 5 innings.

Backing a rookie in his first start for the nationals as a -200 fav is nuts. I don't care what potential he has. He may be the next randy johnson. But the fact of the matter is the nationals are not going to push him. They are more concerned about him developing and not hurting his arm. Nats are thinking long term.
Line is way too high imo.
