So, when someone like Gonzo hits a grand slam, that's like an unexpected sweet treat for Padre fans, unlike some AL hitting parks where this sort of thing is more common.

I definitely do not think it was rigged. But to say that the Mets backer picked the wrong side is not very logical I do not think. He was one out (one strike really) from a shutout victory. Sometimes stuff like this happens. I ended up on the "wrong side" of that Reds/Braves matchup with Leake and Hanson. The one where the Reds were up 8-0 after 2 innings and were up 6 going into the 9th. Braves scored 7 in the bottom of the 9th and won on a walk off grand slam. It was hard for me to say to myself that I was on the wrong side. So I didn't. If you have good bankroll management you can get over a loss like the one you had today.Comment -
not to nitpick, but it was Raul Valdes. He's 31 years old. It's not like they're throwing out a guy fresh from high school. That being said, in two appearances against the Padres this series, he has gone 0.1 innings with 8 ER 5 hits and 3 walks.Comment -
