    Mlb monday play
Keven Correia has fallen into a tailspin. After winning four consecutive starts, the right-hander is 0-3 with a 4.24 ERA in May. The Padres are partly responsible, having provided Correia 3 runs total in those games. he scattered 5 hit and 6 walks in 6 shut-out innings of San Deigo's 2-1 13 inning win over St. Louis on Wednesday. The Padres have dropped 2 of his last 3 starts as Correia holds an ERA over 4.00, But the Right-hander seems to have put it together at Petco Prk where he is 2-2 with a 2.83 ERA. San Deigo has won 3 of his 5 starts at Pecto. Correia has faced the Mets 3 times and dispite his 1.63 ERA he is 0-3 lifetime against the Mets. Correia will hope Hudley can give hima few runs for support as he has been a hot hitter as of late going 9-22 with a homer and 7 RBIS in his last games.
Hisanori Takahashi looks to continue baffling hitters as he makes his first apperance against the Padres and his third start since joining the Mets rotation from the bullpen.. The Left-hander has thrown 12 scoreless innings over two starts of a 5-0 victory, Overall Takahashi is 4-1 with a 2.13 ERA with the Met going 1-1 behind him. New York has not only struggles on the road at 7-16 but has had issues at Patco posting a 1-8 record their last 9 trips there, But has won 2 of their last 4 road games scoring 26 runs in that span. I like the Mets with an unseen dominant pitcher.
