Wells is one of my fade pitchers so why did I not fade him.

I didn't quite see this coming. Wells is no All-Star but he can be serviceable most of the time

day in the life of a cubs fan:

            1) wake up thinking you are a fan of the greatest team in the history of sports.
            2) go to the game where you waste $100 on the ticket and 4 beers
            3) watch your team get their butt kicked
            4) go to bed thinking you are a fan of the greatest team in the history of sports, they just happened to have a bad day

sadly though that behavior has drifted north here to brewers fans as well, they have become equally delusional. i hear stuff all the time "how can we be 9 games under .500 we have so much talent..."
uh sorry no we don't especially in the pitching department

I love Lou, but it might be time for a change.......... just for change's sake.

I don't really care for either team but did not expect that start and the gutless response by Chicago in such a Rivalry scenario. Cheers

didn't expect a gutless response from chicago? not a big game team - when's the last playoff game they have won? BEFORE BARTMAN 2003

the problem is they DO have a bunch of talent and the cubs sure spend a lot of money

but it seems that the fans care a lot more than the players/manager

EVERY time the cubs are in milwaukee lou piniella is at the race book here, seems to me the time could be better spent going over lineups/matchups/etc
what can he possibly win on horse racing that would matter to him when he makes millions? the guy bets $500/race and that's like 5 cents to me and most other posters here

I'd love to see Sandberg managing instead of Lou...

He has paid his dues, came up from single A to AAA, and did great at every stop. Nothing was given to him.

He's always been a class act.

Ryne has been moving up quickly. I believe he is still a little young for the job. Does everyone forget how many times lou took the cubs to the playoffs in the time he has been here?

cubs rely too much on aging hitters soriano, lee and ramirez

need a player like matt kemp or jason heyward

It's all about the bottom line. As an owner, you can't shell out the kind of cash the Yankees does when you know you are not getting the return to make a profit.
