Excellent analysis.. Usually in these situations the SP (in this case Carpenter) flies out the day before to avoid this extreme tiredness and jet lag. I know the Braves do this and I would have to believe the Cardinals do this as well because Carpenter would be no use to them last nite. Carpenter should be fresh while STL hitter somewhat tired.
