I say do to the nature of the position,longevity(he's still good and almost 39),all of the championships(contributing to them).

It will take him a few years but I say yes!---Hall of Famer

hmm, he's close but i think I lean toward no - a hall of very good guy; but the fact he's always been a poor fielder and was always very good, but never great hitter.

His stats do paint a compelling picture at first, but again i think he's hall of very good not hall of fame.

I would say close, needs to get up to around 1650-1700 plus hits in my opinion. Only 13 catchers in the Hall of Fame, it would take him quite a few ballots if he ever does make it.

he's not well loved by some players and pitchers--A.J Burnett especially

Tough call with Posada. He doesn't have the buzz it takes. Very nice career though. If he does make it one day it will most likely be by the Veterans commitee. Just don't see the BBWA voting him in. Very productive player and a integral part to the Yanks success over the years.

good points:His skills haven't deteriorated--they've gotten better at times or at least stayed consistent.He's very durable.He dosen't have the hype but should eventually deserve to get in
