    Finesse/Power, Fly Ball/Ground Ball
I need to know if there's a database that lists pitchers as finesse/power and fly ball/ground ball, or the stats that would define the pitcher as one (baseball-reference.com defines finesse/power by K+BB compared to the leage, and fly ball/ground ball as a ratio of fly ball outs to ground ball outs compared to the league). I thought finesse/power would be defined by pitch selection rather than those stats, but since that's how it's defined I'd like that information, but don't want to do the stats myself unless the information isn't already available. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Baseball statistics for Major League baseball and Minor League baseball with statistical analysis, graphs, and projections.

Check here - pitcher pages show the pitch selection, amount throw, and average speeds (PitchFx data can also show you amount of movement). But you'll have to look at each picther on some things

It will also break down Balls in play as FB/GB/LD etc --

I've looked around but can't find what I'm looking for so I have to do some math. I'm figuring k/9 and BB/9 for the top K pitchers of '09 and am going to back-track their stats to '07. Then I'll figure their total K+BB/9 and divide that by their amount of seasons used to get an average. After I find the highest average K+BB/9 I'll use that to determine whether pitchers are power/finesse/average by figuring their % compared to the leader. IF K+BB/9 is greater than or equal to (couldn't find symbol) 70% of the leader I'll classify them as power, if K+BB/9 is less then or equal to 30% I'll classify them as finesse. Everything in between will be considered average.

Note: These numbers will be based on starting pitchers, as my list originated from the total K leader board in '09. I haven't looked into it yet, but I assume reliever/closer numbers shouldn't be too different since their K/9 rates should be higher, but BB/9 rates should be lower (speculating). I didn't plan on starting a project, but I have. More to come...

ANY AND ALL INPUT IS APPRECIATED.

Earlier I said I would use .7(highest K+BB/9) to determine whether a pitcher is a power pitcher but now I'm not sure. I have to do more looking in and figure out a better way to decide. Anyways, her's a list of some of the highest K+BB/9 pitchers in the league since '07 ('08 for Kershaw). Use it as you may.
