    THE RECAPS

    EARLY GAME 1
Arizona has won the first two games in this 3 game set against the Toronto Blue Jays, dispite their 3-8 interleague record. In the D-Backs last 11 interleague games. It has been mostly to the contribution of their offense in which they scored at least 8 runs in each of their straight home wins while batting .326 as a team. Adam Laroche has led the way hitting .533 (8-15) over that stretch with 3 homers and 8 RBIs. Chris Young is right behind him batting .500 and drove in 4 runs yesterday in an 8-5 win over the Jays. Billy Buckner will take the hill and try and take advantage of the generous run support his team is providing. He got his first start of the season on Tuesday where he pitced 5 innings, giving up 2 runs off 6 hits but came up short in an 0-8 defeat against Florida. Buckner has nev faced the Blue Jays in his career.
The once hot road kings, The Toronto Blue Jays will try to avoid it's fourth straight defeat and seventh in 10 road games, by extending it's win streak behind Shawn Marcum. Dispit the great pitching he has displayed, the run support has been a plaque for him. Out of his 9 starts, they have won only 5. The Jays have dropped 4 of his first 5 starts. But it has been a great come back for the Blue Jays behind Marcum as they have won his last 4 starts overall. Toronto is 3-1 behind Marcum on the rad this year, but most impressively he jas allowed 3 runsor lass in 8 of his 9 starts this season posting a 2.61 ERA. In his last 3, that has dropped to 1.66 with a 2-0 record. Arizona has never recorded a home sweep interleague play and hasn't won 3 in a row against an AL team since Baltimore in 07. Marcum stays hot on the road and cools off the hot hitting D-Backs.

    TORONTO BLUE JAYS -131

    SUNDAY NIGHT GAME
Having met on several occasions in theAL Central match-ups, Sabathis and Santana are finally ready to meet on a different stages in the fianl game of the Subway series. The Yankees have done well in the interleague games posting a 10-3 record in their last 13 interleague games, but it has been not only a struggle to win but a struggle to produce runs posting a 4-6 record in their last 10 games scoring just 5 runs thus far in th Subway series. The Yankees will send C.C. Sabathis to the hill. The Left-Hander threw a gem, throwing 112 pitches in 7 innings allowing 1 run off 4 hits, but came up short as the Yankee bull-pen allowed 5 runs in 2 innings, ina 6-7 loss to their rivals Boston. The Yankees have dropped Sabathia's last 2 starts overall and is 0-1 in his last 3 starts with an ERA of 5.09. He is 2-2 with an ERA od 4.58 on the road this season. Sabathis has faced the Mets twice in his career, and has been successful both time going 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA. Don't knock C.C. with a bat as he posts a .295 Bavg with 2 homers and 8 RBIs in 17 interleague games.
The Mets will counter with Santana in an attemp to close out the Subway series with a 2games 1 series win. Santana has extensive experience with the Yankees. His last outing against the Yankees was terrible as he gave up 9 runs, which was a career high then, (until facing the Phillies a few weeks ago where he gave up 10 runs in just over 3+ innings) in just over 3+ innings ending in a 0-15 pounding by the Bronx Bombers, last June. Santana has a 2.49 ERA without a decision in his last 3 starts. The Mets have dropped 3 of his last 4 starts, but have all been on the road where the Mets have struggles all year long posting a 6-14 record, But Citi feild has been a place to be for Santana posting a 3-1 record with a 3.19 ERA. Don't look for A-rod to get hot or Teixeria as they are 5-23 and 6-26 against Santana. Look for Santana to get revenge on last years Debacle.
