He had the strangest night of any player. He hit a grand slam homer in the third, hurt his back on the swing and left the game with a no-decision.

Cardinals won 9-5 thanks to Joel Piniero who gave up nine earned runs. The Angels are officialy a mess and the only thing keeping them alive is the fact they play in the AL Worst.

P.S. The Brandon Wood death watch continues. He went 0-4 and is now hitting .157. The total on the number of days before the Angels release him is set at 10/-110.

What pitcher wouldn't trade a ND for a grand slam though??? I doubt Penny gives a crap about the long reliever getting the win-they walked the bases loaded to get to him and he crushed that hanger Pineiro served up.

Leave it to a pitcher to hurt himself swinging a bat. Sammy Sosa's sneeze injury thinks that's lame.
