Marlins have won 2 in a row, Hanley Ramirez returned after apoligizing to his teammates individually (but not the manager) to last night's lineup with 3 hits.
St. Louis sure does lay a lot of chalk for a 23-18 team. Past perceptions and Albert Pujols. Wainwright is a good pitcher and we shouldn't expect the Marlins to score more than a handful of runs, but I found this tidbit interesting:
Starting lefty for Marlins, Nate Robertson hasn't touched the mound at Busch Stadium since the 2006 World Series, as a Tiger. he allowed 2 runs in 5 inn. (against a superior Cardinals team to this one). The Tigers however produced no runs for him and they lost that game. He's gonna be pumped to play there !
He's gone 1-0 on two starts with a 1.59 ERA vs Cards since that game, none @ Cards field.
we can also expect Florida GM Gonzalez to intentionally walk Pujols.
Florida can expand their win streak since this Ramirez mess started to 3-0, they are gelling now. Just have to hope that they can hit Wainwright, and I'm not sure who will relieve for Cards. BUT once again St. Louis lays HUGE chalk, I like the Marlins chances at +200 (where it is now).
The RL +1.5 is an even bet (-110).
