Even if by some miracle they do win this, this shows the true end of the rubberband play saga. When a team that has a 50/50 chance of winning, playing on the road, while the home team is having a celebration all over town, is the rubberband play, the allure is over. Rubberband plays are supposed to be sit back & dont worry plays, plays that have such a high probability of hitting that you dont have to sweat them. & if you do have to sweat, its because something horribly bad that cant be foreseen happened.

probably, have to say the Cardinals are not a very good team, will win the division and likely go nowhere, they get ZERO production from too many guys in the lineup, they have a #9 hitter who is worse than any pitcher. Pisses me off seeing assholes like Stubbs and the #8 hitter driving in the runs too, pitch around them or use the intentional walk and get to the pitcher. LaRussa's managing has been questionable a lot of this year.

I haven't been around here long but weren't most of your rubberband wins from college basketball? I'm too lazy to dig it up but aren't you on something like 40% on MLB for the season?
