Remember Cards get swept at home last season by Rockies? And Rockies were a bottom-10 team before the sweep. Strange, they dumped their manager and then they became a good team! They swept Brewers and Cards consecutively, on the road!

Favs like july & august. Try to focus during April, May, September. Underdogs love these months. Favs win often during july & august.

As for the OP, just avoid really high chalk games. They may seem like a lock, but you are risking way too much to win too little. Also don't put a lot on one game, I take like my favorite 2, 3 or 4 games of the day and spread out about 10% of my bankroll between them. Just hang in there and don't look to win it all back at once.

Best way to treat chalk plays is to use "risk" option.

For example, if odds are -250, then just bet 100. This way, you'll get +40 if you win and in case of a lost, you will lose only 100.
I'm always playing with "risk" option, not to win. Flat staking is the best in my opinion..
