        12 go under
        5 go over

I grabbed the Over, but might not have if I'd had a crystal ball working with the weather. Original forecast I saw Monday morning mentioned nothing about much chance of rain and didn't have the wind blowing in (from right-center or thereabouts).

It still might work in my favor, especially if the rain comes down hard enough for them to stop the game for, oh, 45 minutes or so, after Beckett has thrown 50+ pitches.

At 8.5 I'm leaning towards the under. Thinking that with the layoff the Rockies bats may be a bit sluggish not to mention facing one of the best big game pitchers in today's game in Beckett. The key is Francis and the Rockies pen to hold down the Red Sox.

Got the under with my local book... 8.5

Agree the Rox will be a big sluggish out of the gate, and I in no way expect them hit Beckett like they did during the regular season meeting.

Can't understand why anyone would take the Under. I'm taking the Over again for Game 2 (10). I see both teams going to the bullpen early.
