His K/BB ratio this season is 3.14 and his WHIP is 1.14. He's actually having a really consistently good season. He's not a powerhouse pitcher or one of the best in the league by far, but he's a decent 2 or 3 starter on any ballclub

I've come to the conclusion pitching is highly emotional.

Braden pitched in front of friends and family on Mother's Day (his mother passed away from cancer).

Result: Perfect game

Last year I attended the first game in which Jonathan Sanchez's father seen him pitch.

Result: No Hitter (only allowed one baserunner from an error, no walks near perfect)

Everytime I hear about pitchers pitching in front of friends and family, I put money on them. They usually come to play. Some guy made a post the first week of the season about some Braves pitcher pitching in front of family. I bet on that shit blindly and it was easy money.
