Any one have stats on this, maybe last 5 or 10 years? Just curious, because it is about to happen to Seattle.

i know it happened to the phillies and pirates last year, so it's not like, the craziest thing in the world...but i wouldn't imagine it happens too much more often than once or twice a year tops.

I can also remember it happening, but would like to know exactly how many times in the last 10 years. I don't have a database and no time to back test it.

This is what happens when you have Milton Bradley in your team. Even if hes playing or not. That guy have way too much ego.

It's happened 125 times since 2004. That's just in regards to losing two 3-game series in a row, regardless of site.

It's happened 19 times since 2004 at home.

An interesting input: After losing 5 home games and about to get swept for 2nd in a row, in that 6th game how often do the team prevent a 2nd sweep.

Teams are 16-19 in game 6 at home with an ROI of -7.3% since 2004 after losing the first 5 in b2b 3-game series.

Seattle today qualifies. The over however is 23-10-2 for a +31.3% ROI in these situations.

O's had a rough time earlier (well now as well ). Same scenario swept by TOR then by TB lost last game (6th) and it did go over the total, not by much but still.
