Why I'm pretty much done with baseball

Tonight, Brian Burres, Brad Bergesen, John Ely and Dana Eveland combined to pitch 27.1 innings and allow 1 earned run.

That's Burres, Bergesen, Ely and Eveland. ERA's of 6.00, 10.57, 7.50 and 4.76 coming in. Now granted those are small sample sizes, but come on.

i only played minn but i am doing a 4 game chase on them so i expected to get my winnings

I consider myself a pretty big baseball fan, between my Fantasy teams and betting.

I've barely heard of any of these cats. Eveland's not horrible, but the White Sox are just total garbage. Same can be said for Burres vs. Cubs. Ely? No idea.

The Bergesen/Twins game baffled me most, though. Had a huge play on that.

Throw the Twins game out buddy. It was an aberration. Toronto was a good pick tonight with a sub-standard lineup (Konerko out) and Eveland who has improved command within the zone this year. The Cubs...well...they just stink right now and momentum is the most powerful force in the universe. Ely was pitching in a great park tonight and was ultra-motivated to stay up in the bigs when Weaver comes back.

I only had one $5 parlay tonight, and yes, it did miss by one game.

Had a lot on the Twins' game, and look where that got me.
