    Season Long *NEW* System Tracking
DISCLAIMER: I don't know much about baseball.

Using logic, I thought it may be safe to say that the team with the better starting pitcher (better record and ERA) should win the game more often than not. If this isn't true, so be it. I'm just going to keep track of the results of this system.

The Rules to this system are simple:
    1. Play on team whose starting pitcher has a better Record and Better ERA.
    2. The "better" starting pitcher must have a winning record.

    5/6/10 Plays

    Rays -155 1 unit to win .64
White Sox -180 1 unit to win .55
    Twins -230 1 unit to win .43
    Cubs -145 1 unit to win .68
    Royals +130 1 unit to win 1.3
    Angels +130 1 unit to win 1.3
    Braves -140 1 unit to win .71
Phillies -200(*I know this game is already over, but it did fit the system) 1 unit to win .5

If only life were so simple...

Dude, do yourself a favor and stop tracking. The fact that you are even attempting to track this shows that you know absolutely nothing about baseball and betting. Lines obviously reflect pitching advantages. And that's not meant to be an insult. If you want to develop a profitable system you have to dig MUCH MUCH deeper.

this is good advice --- the odds make you "pay" for the better pitcher ---

I agree and as i mentioned at the beginning, i don't know much about baseball. I strictly approached it from a logical standpoint and I'm not actually playing these games. I see what you guys are saying and I appreciate the input, it's one of the reasons I love being a member of this forum. However, I'm just curious to see how it pans out.

I've done a little bit of data analysis and found out that if i only played favorites of -140 or less, my record would be:
                        10-5 +4.17 units.

So maybe something like that will help me to filter out nonsense plays and actually develop into a profitable system. Honestly, this is all out of Betting Boredom. I'm just waiting for NCAAF to start so until then, this gives me something to pay attention to.
