    Just throwing something out there
I know I know, my post count is low and this IS a handicapping forum, but I just wanted to steer away from the betting aspect of baseball for a second and throw my opinion out on a couple of things about baseball and how its changed for the better in the past couple of years or so....

A lot of people during the early to mid 2000's who liked baseball for years started steering away from the love of the game because of the steroid scandal, and I for one have to admit that when I was growing up, I was the only one out of most of my friends who loved talking about baseball (Football, of course, was always the conversation). Whether it was collecting cards or talking stats, it was great. Then the whole steroids scandal occurred with Bonds and Mcgwire and Palmerio and I got to be honest with you guys, I got to a point where I was sick and tired of it. I felt the game was just all about who could hit the longest and most home runs. After a couple of years, since that whole thing has sort of blown over and the MLB became better with there testing, I've gotten back into baseball. I'm a Yankees fan, but whether it's a Pirates Brewers game, I'm interested. Baseball has finally gotten back to why I loved the game in the first place: defensive strategy, base strategy, etc. etc. All the little things that where for a few years, really just taken for granted, I feel. Yes, stadiums aren't seeing the attendance that we saw in the earlier years, but I feel that the game has dignity now, IT'S a sport, not just a SHOW and that's why I loved the game from the beginning.

Take a look at the Orioles - Red Sox series where the Orioles, who had been playing the worst baseball out of any team in the league, have the Sox come into town and sweep them, 3 in a row. Even though I'm a Yankees fan, you just got to love stuff like that, it's what makes the game so great to watch because you just never know....

Just figured I'd throw a few thoughts out there and see what you guys think, but I feel that baseball is back, at least in my opinion
