[Jon Q Phenomenon]

Hey everyone, fairly new to the site and the world of MLB handicapping. I'm looking to get my feet wet with a small bankroll and hope to build the basis for some type of handicapping philosophy. I've got a lot of leg work to do as far as research goes but hopefully my skills will develop along with the season.....or i'll just crash and burn......

Mainly gonna use this thread to post and track my plays. Feel free to encourage, advise, flame, or berate.

1. I have strong man love for the Giants' pitching staff and will ride Cain, Zito, and Big Time Timmy Jim all year

2. Never bet the Braves again until they learn to hit, sucks to be you Tim Hudson

Looked at today's slate of games and i see a lot of close calls....i'm going against my better judgment as i was only going to play maybe 2 games but when all was said and done my card filled up....going forward i'm going to try and limit myself to no more than 5 plays a day, simply because on most days i see there being very little chance of finding value in more than that many games.....anyways here we go.....


Friday 5/7

Angels +125 -- 2u / 2.5u Jet lag and Felix be damned, Weaver's on the bump, Seattle plays like doo doo poopy, and the Halos are due.

Royals +105 -- 2u / 2.1u Greinke @ plus money, gotta jump on it, hopefully the Royals aren't spent after last night.

Tigers -118 -- 2u / 1.69u I'm banking on the Tigers offense in this one, they're gonna need some support for Bonderman.

Marlins -127 -- 2u / 1.57u Wanted to pull the trigger on the Nats here, but Volstad won out over Stammen, hopefully i won't regret it.

Phillies -135 -- 4u / 2.96u My favorite play of the day, don't see the Phillies losing here, even with father time on the mound.
