    MORNING GAMES
Cleveland snapped it's 2 game losing streak in an 11 inning duel with the twins yesterday. Fransisco Liriano will take the hill for the Twins. Liriano looks to continue his outstanding start when they try and close a 3 game series with the Indians. The Yound Left-Hander is starting off in great style posting a 3-0 record and an era of .93. The Twins have won all 4 of his starts and has not allowed a run in his last 3 starts spanning 23 innings. Liriano pitched 8 innings against Detroit on Thursday giving up 4 hits while striking out 10. The Left-Hnader showed off his talent against the Indians fanning 8 Indians on a 6-0 win. Liriano is 3-3 with an era of 3.57 against Cleveland.
Cleveland will counter with David huff. He failed to complete 6 innings for the first time in 4 starts this seasons, Monday against the Angels. He allowed 5 run and a career hit 12 hits, including 2 homers over 5 1/3 innings. the Lefty is 2-3 with a 5.86 era against the twins. huff took the loss when matched up against Liriano last month giving up four runs and 3 hits while walking 6 batters. Should be much of the same here as Liriano will continue his dominance against Cleveland

Atlanta finally snapped their 9 game lossing streak and now have won 2 in a row. The Braves will try and get the sweep against the struggling Astros. Derek Lowe takes the hill for the Braves. After Hanson and Hudson put together 2 strong innings, Lowe will try and bounce back from his last 2 starts, In his lastest struggle he pitched 5 2/3 innings of a 5-4 defeat by the Cardinals. Overall Lowe is 3-2 but has an elevated era of almost 6.00. Lowe will try an avoid his 3 loss in a row as he will face the Astros. The Verteran is 4-3 with a 3.57 era in 9 starts against Houston.
Bud Norris will counter Lowe in his first apperance against Atlanta. it has been a series of inconsistance through his last 4 starts posting a 1-2 record with a 5.60 era. In his only road start, Norris pitched 5 inings allowing 1 unearned run off 4 hits, In fact Norris has yet to reach the 6th inning this season. the right-hander will look to bounce back from his last start when the Reds shelled him for 5 runs all earned off 6 hits in 5 inings. It doesn't look to promising for Norris as the Braves bats are heating up and should handle this with ease.

    AFTERNOON GAME
Milwaukee finally scored after being blanked twice on Friday and Saturday and of the 2 runs that was scored i was by the pitcher Gallardo. The Brewers will look to the veteren Randy Wolf to keep their streak going. The Lefty was in line for his second straight victory after allowing 2 runs off 10 hits but the all time save leader Trevor Hoffman who recorded 552 saves in 16 seasons with San Diego was shelled for 5 runs in the 9th inning in a 7-3 loss to the Bucs. Wolf went 6-10 wiht a 4.74 era in 21 starts in 08. he is 1-0 with a 1.96 era in his last 3 starts against the Padres.
The Padres will counter with Jon Garland who looks to continue to win with a 3rd straight victory. Dispite Saturdays loss to the Brewer's San Diego's pitching staff has been Dominant among the best with a 2.88 era and Garland has been significant in contributing to his team the Right-Hander is 2-0 with a 1.00 era as the padres have won his last 3 starts. After going 30 pitches in the first inning, Garland retired 12 straight batters and matched a career high 10ks. garland is 1-0 with a 2.70 era in two starts against the Brewers, But hasn't fared well in his career against Gregg Zaun who is hitting .467 i his last 4 games and is 1127 in his career against Garland. but San Diego has won 7 of 10 against Milwaukee and 14 of 20 at Petco in this match-up. The Padres should get it done with Garland on the hill today.

      EVENING GAME
The Mets were rolling winning 8 in a row, that is until they hit a brick wall. Roy Halladay took the hill and bounced back from his last start in dramatic fashion. Halladay threw a 3 hitter complete game shut-out against the Mets yesterday. New York is now 10-1 in their last 11 games, But doesn't have a great history against the Phillies dropping 11 of their last 14 meetings, However they are hoping to chane all of that when Santana will take the hill for the Mets. The Left-Hander has been Dominant on the hill this year. His last start was about as flawless as you can get pitching 6 innings giving up no runs and had 6 batters grabbing some pine. Santana has been on a roll posting a 2-0 record with a .47 era, He has pitched on game on th road this year thus far and gave up no runs but didn't get the decsion. Santana is 4-1 lifetime against the Phillies with a 2.90 era in 9 apperances against Philadelphia and has pitched 7 or more innings in 7 of those 9 games and allowed 3 runs or less in 8 of those 9 games and has a 6-3 TRBS in those 9 games against the Phillies.
Jamie Moyer, the 47 year old geratric will oppose the young Santana. the Left-Hander has pitched 6 inningss in each of his first 4 starts thus far in the season. Moyer is 0-4 with an elevated 7.07 era inhis last 5 home starts and went 1-1 with a 6.91 in 5 games he started against the Mets last season. His last 3 starts have not been what you would expect posting a 1-2 record with a 4.50 era. Moyer has a 3-7 TRBS when playing the Phillies and has given up 4 or more runs in his last 6 starts agaiinst New York. It has been nothing but struggles for the Geriatric pitcher, but the bullpen has been another story with Halladay pitching a complete game last night, they had the night off to recooperate from the pounding they have recieved as of lately. The Phillies bullpen has a 3-4 record with an elevated 6.17 era not too mention they have blown 4 out of 9 save opportunities this year. The one time dominant closer Brad Lidge has na era of 27.00 and a WHIP of 6.00. David Wright is 20-47 with 3 homers against Moyer and 8 for 17 during a modest 5 game hitting streak. Bottom line... The Mets roll tonight with Santana on the hill and get New York back on track.
