I live in Cleveland and its a gorgeous 83 degree day. Most importantly the wind is booming from the SW at 15 - 25 mph. This makes Progressive Field (Jacobs Field) set up like a Jet stream for home-run balls. I know that Carmona is back on track and has a 2.96 ERA and the Indians are batting a measley .238 but the conditions are perfect for an over. Here's why:
Carmona is 0-4 against the Twins with a 10.80 ERA in his last five starts versus Minnesota, walking 14.
Two of the Twins' big bats have thrived against Carmona. Jason Kubel is 10 for 26 (.385) with two homers, while Joe Mauer has reached base in 11 of 21 plate appearances.
Slowey 3.42 (a perfect name for a horrible Major League pitcher) is pitching on short rest because Blackburn is out.
Morneau will be back in the lineup.
59% of the public is on the under 9 because it seems like Carmona will have a good outing. That could be the case, but the Indians pen is patchy at best.
Count me in Minnesota Twins/Cleveland Indians Over 8½ -130 at 5dimes
