talk about some luck. They were overmatched big time in this game and pulled it off

Somebody phoned in from the SBR book to tell them that I had a sizable amount of points on the padres to sweep.

Baseball is a 162 game season that any team can win on any day. The line went off with the Reds as a fav. with the books. They have looked like absolute dog the last two games, but Bailey showed some real grit in this one and gave them 6 serviceable innings.

They fought back from a deficit twice and tried to give it away in the 9th. Were they lucky to get the win, maybe but they put themselves into position to win it.

I'm sure you were being somewhat facetious in your first post but anytime you see a "clear mismatch" that goes off with the "clear underdog" as a favorite, there has to be some questioning as to which side to wager on.

I broke it down. The reason why the Reds won today was because Chris Richard is a bad daytime pitcher and Bailey is a pretty good daytime pitcher with a low ERA. Should have taken Reds RL. No way the Padres were gonna beat this team by 2 runs today

I took Padres in this game, and the stats backed it up bigtime. Reds pulled a fluke in the bottom of the 8th. it happens

Not necessarily the reason why they won but the reason they were ultimately favored in this game. Richard did not throw bad at all. The bullpen squandered the lead. Bailey started to throw better in his previous outing and looked much more comfortable today. As far as taking the runline, it was a pretty steep price to pay for a team that has lost some pretty lopsided games. I reserve my RL plays for teams that are more consistent.
Its a long season, we have to learn from each wager whether it be a win or a loss.

The Padres put in a fuk in the 8th inning who can't pitch, thats why they lost

Run lines aren't really that bad if you use it right. It gives you some insurance as opposed to moneylines which I think can be more of a risk because like you said any team can win on any given day. The Run line would have made me a lot of cash this weekend. I'm still pretty new to Baseball handicapping. This is my first year really doing this I just got done doing the whole NBA season. Richard pitched a pretty good game but you could tell that he was gonna setup the bullpen to blow that game. He did a bad job at protecting the leads the Padres got today. Whenever the Padres scored the Reds turned around the bottom half of those innings and scored right back on them. .

btw you're right about taking the RL on the Reds when they have been playin pretty badly this series

Home teams don't get swept easily by bad road teams.
