Are runners getting faster or catchers getting worse??

I have MLB Extra Innings and I spend every night with the MLB Mix channel on watching 8 games at once. I seriously cannot remember one baserunner being caught stealing this year, it's pathetic. It seems to me like the catchers are just getting worse and can't make a good throw to second.

It just perception --- overall runners steal at about a 73% rate over the last five years.

So far this year they are stealing at a 76% clip, but if you take out the abysmal performance by the Red Sox (runner have stolen 31 of 32 time, 97%) the rate is right about normal at 74%

Everyone wants baseball to be sped up so pitchers throwing over to first gets hated on too much

Also sometimes the base is really stolen on the pitcher nothing the catcher can do about it.

It's insane teams don't run more if it's over 70%. Obv depends on players running but if someone is even close to fast I'm running with 1 or less outs. Has to be +ev for scoring runs ala getting a guy in scoring position.
