    Braves/Mets
This a moreso a play against John Maine. He has never has been an over dominating pitcher w/lights out stuff. Everytime he takes the mound it seems its a constant struggle to get through a 1,2, 3 inning. Bottom line is he loses command of the strike zone. Maine throws too many pitches to go past 5 innings. The Mets pen has been overused the past week beginning with the 20 inning affair. They should start to feel some tired arms.

The Braves bats have been quite for the most part the last three games. I think they were still feeling the hangover effect last night of facing Doc Halliday the night before. The Mets are not to be confused with the Phillies and the Braves should get the lumber going. Even though Kawakami struggled in his last start he has pitched well vs NY and at Citifield.

Maine leaves the game but the Braves bats remain cold. Didn't playout as I thought it would.

Backing Jurrjens -135 over Niese today.
