Forget the pitching their lineup is horrible as well. Big sloppy papi is FINISHED, Jd drew DONE, cameron is 40, hermida hr or nothing, Varitek worthless, Beltre, Billy hall........
The only thing this team has above average is a nasty and possibly the best bullpen in mlb.......Pimplebags is a beast, Bard is the next big closer on the rise for some team, okawijiboards is probly a top 2 lefty reliever in mlb as well holding down the 7th inning now.
Division is too tough. They should be happy if they win 85-86 games.Comment -

I think theo will make a move to get a big bat. I can't see him staying with this shitty lineup...Boston fans don't allow losers anymore, and he knows that. Adrian Gonzalez + an outfielder should be good enough. ALSO keep in my Jacoby Ellsbury has been out, and although he isn't a stud, he definitely has an impact.Comment -
when manny left the offense suffered, from then on - it isn't just happened. they couldn't score last year and got swept in the first round of the playoffs. ortiz lost his protection and all the juice got squeezed out. when they were winning they had those two guys mashing, best duo in the majors at the time. the team is different withot them and without schilling and pedro. all the other guys are good but those losses were huge and that is why. position for position the red sox have no chance in that division unless the rays and yankees have injuries. if not 3rd place would be a success, that is the reality. you can't make lemonade out of lemons i am sorry.Comment -

I think last nights big come back win is just what they needed. I think they we go on a run now. But I agree.... Papi is done! Cut him loose. As well as Bill Hall, Cameron, and Drew. Isn't it too early to bash Red Sox? Ok, They get swept at home (in a 4-game Series!) by Rays but Rays were a very hot team.
But if they lose 2 games vs Baltimore, then I may agree with you
