I agree with this play. Big Z has a history of being bad early in the season, so this bad start is not out of the ordinary and I expect it to continue. Also, there are several guys in the Mets lineup that have had plenty of success facing Zambrano. All and all, this is a matchup between 2 pretty bad teams, or at least 2 that are struggling, and in that situation I usually lean for the home team or the better pitcher. Right now, Pelfrey is pitching better and the Mets are at home. The Cubs lineup has been awful at times. Mets looks like a strong play.

Sticking with the NL East, I think the Phils are the best value on the board today. I am a huge Braves fan, but I think anytime you can get a team like the Phils with one of the best lineups in the league at these odds, you have to take it. Currently listed around +160. I know Kendrick has struggled, but Pilly always plays well in Atlanta. I'll be pulling for the Braves, so I won't play, but to the nonpartial bettor I think this is a good play.

Im on the Mets, the whole thing with Pelfrey is that it seems he finally has confidence in his pitches. He looked outstanding last Thursday in the shutout against Colorado and also looked good in the 20 inning marathon saturday night in which he picked up the save. Kinda seems like he feels less pressure on him being put in the 4th spot in the rotation
