I think the Nats are a great value right now. This team has speed, offense, a good closer. At -125 for +1.5, I think that is an excellent value (at home, against Cook, who is off to a slow start for the Rockies).

I think the ML is a great value too. I guess just in the back of my head I'm hearing (you're going to bet on the NATS??!!) and liked getting that run. I'm not trying to say that the Nats are even a decent team. I'm just saying that the Nats are NOT as awful as the lines are suggesting and that there was enough value that I felt compelled to take them today.

Washington has scored 6.8 runs / game their last five games
Colorado has scored 3.6 runs / game their last five
Colorado is a notoriously slow-starting team
Stammen gave up 4 hits and 2 earned through 5.1 innings the last time the Nats played COL @ home
The Nats are the shits and will finish 20 or more below .500 probably. But a home team getting +1.5 only -125, against another team with the same record? Stammen's stats suck and I'm sure he'll give up some runs to the Rockies, but I think the Nats can score in this game too.Comment -

I like it. This is not the same Nats team as last year. I think this will be a profitable team to play on this year. There is a lot of value in the Nats tonight. Cook has been terrible this year & their bullpen has not been too reliable either. I like the m/l for the Nats but I agree that there is more value in the R/L. I can see it being a one run game either way. I would feel better laying little juice & having 1.5 runs as opposed to them winning outright.Comment
