Why are bullpens so horrid this year?
    1) Royals- possibly the worst of the worst
    2) D-Backs- threatening the Royals position.
    3) Dodgers - pitiful except for Broxton

The Yankees pen even gave up an immediate 3 runs after yanking Burnett. Please add to this list of awful bullpens.

    4) Brewers- don't know how I forgot this disgrace.

Dodgers were top 5 last few seasons if I'm not mistaken. Crazy to see them so low now. But it is still early.

it was 5-5 in the 7th man. meche leaves game and the BP gives up a go-ahead homer to the first fukking batter. and the game ends 6-5 minny.

had arizona the past couple of nights and their BP have blown 5 or 6 straight games. i think i'm already tired of baseball.

The first 3 weeks are usually always rough. I always choose to skip it, and start up around week 4. Let all the kinks get ironed out, if they do. Some can do well during the first few weeks, I just choose not to jump in right away.

But one should learn to check out bullpen avg's and put it into their capping of games.

Actually they are not. They are around 16th in ERA.

Royals are by far the worse with a 8.10 ERA.

                  Sample Size plus variation --

Relievers, actually have a collective higher ERA than starter so far - as every year that will change --

Peavy pitches a good game, but gives up the tying homer in the 8th. Is insta yanked with one out and of course the reliever gives up an immediate single, double to blow the game. Yes Peavy just gave up a homer, but these mid inning yankings are a joke. Does the manager obviously think he has a better option in the pen?

Mets game 0-0 in bottom 10. 2 outs runners first and second with Pujols up to bat. If he doesn't bring in KRod I'm gonna puke.

Red Sox pen sucks a big one. Bard gives up a hr every outing and Papelbon is awful now. Oh plus Okajima has never been good.

still thinking they'll give up a bunch today. arizona deserves this, as their BP blew the game the last 5 or 6 games. their BP will save them today, i feel it baby
