wind blowin from left field/third base to right field/first base side.... but right field seems to be blowing OUT a little bit.....

with Silva and Paulino on the bump, you can expect alot of hard hit balls....in the air or not... I'm curious to see the lineups though..... there is a HUGE call for Soriano to be benched here in the city of Go.

today former Cub turned broadcaster Todd Hollandsworth, said that if you are gonna sit Soriano to prevent mistakes in innings 7-8-9..... you need to sit him period..... All Hail Tyler Colvin!!!!!

UNDER 9 is my play for sure after seeing that, balls into the gap in left will be knocked down, Houston can't hit all that much either. Pitchers worry me a little, but i'd feel better laying -115 on an under than anything on either side.

Good luck with your under play, no play for me, but I think it may fly over. I would never take an under with Silva pitching.

look at Silva's hits allowed and HR's allowed totals from the past 5 years.....

The field is oriented in the East-West direction with the first base located towards the East. With the winds coming mainly from the West/NorthWest direction and gusting to 20-30 mph it will carry the balls hit in the right field but will keep the balls hit in the left field in.

The main question is the starting pitching.

His GO/AO ratio was below 1.5 the last few years. This is the ratio of groundouts to flyouts. The higher the ratio the more irrelevant the wind becomes in a total because winds don't carry ground balls.

His GO/AO was 1.17 last year.

With both pitchers having low GO/AO ratios I will be very hesitant to wager any money on the under with windy conditions like today's because any flyout in the right field will be carried over for HR. Also the low GO/AO ratio's will limit potential double plays and with both pitchers having high WHIP last year that means many batters will reach 1B with either walks or hits.

I wouldn't feel comfortable taking the under with wind like that. Houston's offense is the equivalent to a triple A team so who knows.
