To the OP, IMO layin' 2.5 runs is never profitable, it's a sucker bet. RL's generally are too but the juice is very high straight up. It would be tough for me to play the Cards here even if I liked 'em. BOL on whatever you play.

this is to funny, please tell me you just say shit to say it......i guess i do buy that Myers could possibly shut down the stros anemic offense but these 2 pitchers are not on the same level, yes Penny has had some struggles but Myers has never been the pitcher that Penny has been and will be again this year

Laying 2.5 runs in any baseball game is NEVER A SAFE BET, EVER... The Astros aren't a very good team at all, obviously, however, they can at any moment get hot, Bourn, Pence, Lee, can have big games and then you're screwed. I'm telling you, the old saying that in baseball every team will win 60 games and lose 60 games, the key is what will they do with the other 62 games. SO say what you want about fade til they lose, the more profitable motto is fade until RIGHT before they lose... It's like when the niners were winning championships, get rid of a player a year too early not a year too late... Last year the Astros started out 1-6, and then went on to win 3 out of the next 4, and finish the month of april with an 8-7 record, they won 74 games last year. Last I checked their team isn't that much different, save for Tejada and valverde who was admittedly LIGHTS out. The astros have started slow getting beaten by a san francisco team many pick to win the west, and by a phillies team that many pick to represent the national league in the WS. I'm not saying the stros are the greatest team however it's not like they are losing to scrub teams, and we should all be very careful when laying -180 to -200 juice on these teams. One poster in particular is going to ride them til they lose, and has started a train with several followers. Be wary when doing this laying -200. If you were lucky enough to jump on the astros 3-4 games ago and hit 4 in a row laying 2 units to win 1 you'd be up 3-4 units, so you take them on a -200 line lose 1 and now you've won 4 out of 5 games and are only up 2 units?? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, without doing the research. Houston is a good team to fade if the research has been put in, their are much better teams to fade at much better prices right now though, and totals GALORE.... Jus saying!!

I actually think this is a good spot to put on the rl for stl, however some are blindly fading HOUSTON, that imo is just not smart money management, as sooner or later the streak is going to end. Be ahead fo the curve not behind it, that's all... The Cards do have very impressive #'s against myers who has never lived up to the hype surrounding him when he was a prospect!!!
