20 better would be
10 10 10 10

here is where the question comes into play

The first bet is it to risk 20 or to win 20 ?

lets say it loses then

10 10 10 20

Next question is the B bet to
risk 30 or to win 30 ?

there's no bet b, but the next bet will be 30 as 'win amount', so if odds is high like 40 to win 30 and if you lose, your line will be 10 10 10 20 40. lots of labourchere discussion in covers

People have prejudices about martingale-like systems. However, Labouchere is a different story. I used Labouchere for entire season and worked very nice for me. If you're a selective capper and don't go on a loooooooooong losing streak. You can make nice profit with labouchere..
