How are the Blue Jays 4-1?
Starting off I'm no true baseball fan.

I was 8 and at my grandparents cottage in 92'
I was 9 and listened to Joe Carter hit the home run in 93' (driving home after Easter)

After that I've tailed the Jays and Spo's (until relocation back in the day) and every year I feel the Jays are supposed to be contenders early on.

So someone please tell me how they've started so great. False hope is about the worst thing possible so I don't want to believe they have a chance.

Don't read anything into it. The Jays started last season 27-14 and ended up 75-87. They suck and will be lucky to avoid last place in the AL East.

as a big fan yet very novice capper i have little faith in a successful blue jay season. al east is HEAVY with sox, yanks, and rays. i cannot imagine them any better than .500 and thats at the max. with that being said, analysts have highlited the jays with their defensive and offensive abilities. however their pitching is poor and that doesn't work in the league of designated hitters. they swept texas who arguably arent as strong as last season even with the addition of vlad and arms, when they missed the playoffs. and then they beat the orioles, who despite a little hype, will prolly go last in the east. keep in mind i'm stayin away til they prove me wrong or right, but i think the end of the month will produce a team under .500 where they play white sox, angels and boston at home plus a series in tampa where the rays usually win their series. hope i offered anything

Me knowing closely nothing you offered heaps... cb mentioned they stared 666. last sesason (or something close aftr 41) and you got me straight strickerson. They haven't played anyone decent and of course that counts more than anything. I just want them to do well but i know they are unlikely. If Cito can work his magic than I hope to stand corrected

Is Jays an autofade at somepiont down the road?

vernon wells was hot to start the season, history says it wont last, they got to play Texas and Baltimore, two mediocre teams ... once they pla 60 games ve TB/BOS/NYY it wont look so good.
