he has quality stuff for sure but Duncan and Larussa have a track record of fukkin up young pitchers (they are great with vets that have had a down turn, look for Penny to be very good) but as shaky as our bullpen is and the fact im not really sure what to expect from Garcia (innings wise) makes it a little tougher for me..not to mention mil better realize if they want a game in this series this is the one to get.....not sure how Gallardo has looked but we usually hit him well, honestly im thinking over is the play but havnt looked to much as of yet

milwaukee is plus 1 half , so i like the cards here, he is a good pitcher and the cards seem to play well on the weekends.

Thanks for the response. I'm going to the game tomorrow so i was hoping to get a little insight from a cards fan. I agree that this is the game milwaukee needs to get in this series. I think Gallardo will come out strong after signing his new contract. Milwaukee is a strong home team and usually play well on these saturday games. A little worried though after hoffman blew last night.

dont forget we hit Gallardo very well (historically anyway)..we like hard throwers way more than junk-ballers.....if you lose this one you get swept, plain and simple...however our bullpen out shining another pen is rare and id imagine Garcia will be on a short leash as he is young and only year and a half removed from tommy john

GALLARDO is 0-2 when starting against ST LOUIS with an ERA of 5.70 and a WHIP of 1.394.His team's record is 1-3 (-3.0 units) in these starts. Hopefully gallardo can prove history wrong. Put a couple units on the brewcrew. Should be a good game

Stats are a little misleading. Anyone remember the Gallardo vs. Carpenter matchup last year in Miller Park? Didn't Gallardo pitch 9 IP, got the shutout win, Carpenter pitched 8 scoreless, and our bullpen blew it in the 9th, and the Cardinals lost 1-0.

He has good stuff, but I'm still taking the Cardinals.

They have scored 5+ runs in 3 of their first 4, they have one of the best offensive lineups in the MLB.
