    NL Central Crown....Cardinals??
Being a Cardinal fan and all..I really want the Cardinals to win the central. Looking at the futures picks, -175 the cardinals win the NL Central. Would everyone agree that is a lock, if you agree/disagree, your input would be appriciated. Considering dropping $300-$500 on this.

Seems to me you could put that $300-500 towards shorter term wagers and make more money. Just letting them hold your money for 5 months is a terrible deal and at a terrible price (-175).

Well I have money I'm using that I have set aside to make money short-term. I would just rather have something profitable to fall back on, just in case.

No, I understand that, but IMO, you're be much better off holding on to that money and using it as a special betting fund for plays you consider very high percentage plays. The NBA playoffs are just around the corner, and offer better chances to return the profit you;re looking for.

Ah. Interesting way of putting it. Not a big basketball follower, but did follow V1/V2 of JM's NBA system. tripled my $200 .

What would be the way to go on the NBA playoff games? I'm guessing go big on the first round games on the high seeded teams?

There's a few options. Series prices, Single-game wagers, Playoff Futures, etc. I'd say just keep an eye on Lakerboys thread and be patient. The opportunities will present themselves for you to cash in the NBA, and I'd say the likelihood of reaching/surpassing your goals is high in that one month period, leaving you a bigger pot to work from for the rest of the baseball season.

Great, great advice. Enjoy the SBR points. Will go over there now.

Cards are looking like a sure thing for the NL Central championship but something could always happen with the Cubbies or Reds to change this....One Pujols injury and the Cards don't look so good anymore

You sure about that? With the Holliday & Penny additions, and both of them looking sharp early, if something did happen to Pujols, it wouldn't hurt too bad..I would still see the Cardinals be ahead of the Brewers/Cubs, even without Pujols in the lineup.

Bad price. Futures take too long to resolve.

I agree with suicidekings, spot on.

It as much as a lock as any division race; given the long term nature of the deal I don't think your getting any kind of crazy value at -175 though
