I Think Cubs Get Their First Win Tonight

Randy Wells is a pretty decent pitcher and still fairly unknown. He stays around the plate and hits his spots, reminds me a little of Greg Maddux that way, not overpowering but usually good control. Cubs will be looking to get a win under their belt on get away day. Got it at +170 where it ultimately peaked but +160 and change is still widely available.

It's amazing how overvalued it appears Tommy Hanson is going to be early in the year. This guy is still an unknown in my book. Sure he has showed glimpses for being a top shelf pitcher but how many pitchers have we seen come in over the years and blow up the following year in this same spot? I am not playing it but the value is certainly there.

In a year and some change Wells has an ERA under 3, kid has the stuff, just needs a little more experience.

He won't over power anyone, but he's got talent.

Are you kidding? He's a great young pitcher, but for every over-hyped young pitcher that succeeds, there are ten that fizzle out due to injury, or simply because the hitters catch up to them. As of now, he really hasn't proven himself to belong in the elite ranks.
