"Thus far, no game in this year's ALCS has stayed Under the total. Look for that to change this evening in Game 6. Note that the Yankees are 17-4 Under if they had six or more extra base hits in their previous game. They'll face the Rangers Colby Lewis, who is 17-5 Under in night starts this season. Lewis' team is also 34-17 Under following a loss by four or more runs."

"Good spot for the Bombers, who's offense finally woke up in Game 5. After struggling for much of this series, the Yankees offense was back to its old trick, getting production from Rodriguez, Cano, Posada and Granderson. This all spells trouble for tonight's starter Colby Lewis, who's looked great thus far in the postseason, but will face his toughest match up to date with a reinvigorated Yankees lineup.

Herein lies the biggest problem I have with Colby Lewis, because despite going 1-0 with an excellent 1.69 ERA in two playoff starts, he's not being priced that way tonight. Oddsmakers are essentially begging for Texas money by pricing Lewis at this number. We've seen his numbers compared to Phil Hughes, who got jacked up in Game 2 (7 runs on 10 hits in 4 innings)... So why give us a bargain price on the hotter starter?

We all expect Hughes to be better than he was in Game 2 (he can't really be worse). But I'll take it a step further, I expect he'll be much better, getting back to the form that won 18 games this regular season. He was fantastic against the Twins in the ALDS, and it doesn't hurt that his ERA is actually slightly lower on the road. Back by an offense that's finally showing some life, Hughes should get more than enough support to deliver the win. Given Texas's 1-3 record at home during the postseason, and their lack of "killer instinct" against the Rays (up 2-0, took it to 5 games), the Yankees are definitely the play here. Take the NY Yankees (Hughes) over Texas (Lewis) Friday."

"New York is on a 7-1-2 over clip their last 10 postseason road games, and with the added pressure on a couple of untested hurlers in Phil Hughes and Colby Lewis, I see the sticks making plenty of contact, and the scoreboard lighting up with enough crooked digits to take us over the total one more time."

Let's not forget how dangerous the Yanks are in the post season. Yanks will prevail tonight.....
You can't compare Roy Halladay to Phil Hughes

I wasn't comparing Doc and Hughes. Hughes is going to have a much better game than his previous. He did win 18 games this year. JR nice synopsis of the game.

COlby Lewis will get torched tonight. I think Hughes will have the same destiny. Heavy lean on the over as of now.

Both ny and phillies were down 3-1 but turned into their ace sabathia and halladay to extend the series.. I don't get why some people are putting Phil hughes in that same category.. Here's a thought, if they hit cc it will be easier to hit Phil hughes that they have demolished before..
If your thinking he can turn it up and his 2nd start, so why did cc still got hit on his 2nd start?

On the Yankees and rangers price.. The Yankees will be the Yankees, even if books put a big - on the Yankees they will still get action..

I am actually a little confused on this total of 9 that is mildly juiced. It seems just like free money to take the over here. I see a Rangers win tonite...something like 9-6 type game.

ALL of Yankees' switch hitters hit better from the left-side... Swisher is more powerful there, Jorgito the same thing. Berkman is WAAAAAAAY better from the left side. A-roids is actually better against righties this year also.

I think they won't let lewis walk away like the first time... same thing that happened to wilson.

I just can't see the Giants winning it now. This was it.
And it's not that I lost money, it's just that I've been rooting for the Giants ever since they beat my Padres.

Looks like Yankees and under for me with an 18 mph wind blowing in from right center. I will probably leave the total alone and just stick with the Yanks.

Yankee Stadium has seen it's last ball game of 2010.

wind blowing IN today usually means balls flying out in Rangers ballpark!
