as a philly fan u gotta be absolutely crushed right now that your best got beat at home..this was a really sweet victory for the giants..they manned up big time tonight

It was a great start for the Giants no doubt but not devastating to the Phillies. A Giants win tomorrow now that would be crushing.

Actually that's why I bet on the phillies today..after the lineups was announce I circled game 2 for giants..
Didn't imagine they will win game 1..

i dont buy that..its devastating to lose a game 1 with your #1..especially when your number 2 and 3 starters arent close to the level of the #1..they just arent..the giants are sending a pitcher out tomorrow who is hotter then anyone right now..u guys are in some trouble

I am trying to look at this game objectably unbiased and I honestly don't see the Phillies going back to San Francisco down 2-0 We shall see it unfold tomorrow.

lost both my playoff plays luckily i kept the wagering amount on the lower side today: yanks ml but the -120 seemed too fishy and phils under seemed too easy. kind of feel like a sucker for making these plays (hindsight) but in another way i'm happy that i sensed something fishy and at least held off losing more than i normally would have

as it stands i'm completely lost: i refuse to lose anymore

to lee, at least til he proves he's human in the postseason, but i have a hard time seeing yanks going down 1-2 at home with pettitte. and same flavor tomorrow i love sanchez matching up against phils but its hard to see them falling both games at home. think i'm gonna leave this to the experts

. It's only game 1. Besides, now I can hammer Phils series price at nearly even money. All they gotta do is take care of business tonight and then I feel really good about Cole in Game 3

Knew you were going to say this... If I wasn't a homer, I would say that the price tells you all you need to know. But besides me being a homer, I also know that this team never gets too high or too low. They know what they have to do and I think they will buckle down and get the job done. You're absolutely right LB, the price should tell me not to play this. But I don't know if I can help myself from taking that.

And yes, hell of an atmosphere - that crowd never disappoints. Whistling at Lincecum was hilarious, does it remind you of when the Flyers used to go up against Jagr when he had the long hair?
