    Opening Day MLB Picks
Well I've been waiting for the baseball season to start now for months and couldn't be happier to start watching some games...

For the early games today I like the following...

    Cardinals -142 over the Reds - 1U

I know that Carpenter looked bad at times during ST this year and his ERA is up there, but I think he comes out focused for today's game. He's mentioned he's honored to get the nod for OD and I can see him easily outperforming Harang. Carpenter is also 7-3 with a 2.11 ERA lifetime against the Reds whereas Harang is only 7-10 with a 4.54 ERA lifetime against the Cards. I'm hoping Pujols and Holliday also have a big day, but Holliday has struggled over his career against Harang.

    Dodgers -131 over the Pirates - 1U

A lot of people are saying that Padilla is a terrible pitcher, but I'm not to sure about that. After moving to the Dodgers last year Padilla went 4-0 in the RS with an ERA slightly over 3, but then he has sucked the big one in ST thus far. I'd much rather lay my money on a better pitcher, but with the LA line-up I can't stay away from this game. Duke is going to have a good year this year I think, but I don't think the Pirates offense is going to do much today. I think the Dodgers put up 5-6 on the board today and walk away with a nice W. The 3-5 spot in the Dodgers line-up is going to do damage this year and with the juice fairly low I'll take a shot with them to open up 2010 on a good note.

Also throwing down a small parlay...

    Dodgers -1.5 + Phillies -1.5 pays a little over 3:1 for 1/2 a unit.

I'm going golfing today for the first time this Spring so I won't get to watch much of the early games which sucks. I should be back later to post my later picks, but we'll see how it goes. I still need to narrow down my picks for tonight, but I'm leaning the following and would like your input if you have any.

    SF over HOU
    SEA over OAK
    CUBS over ATL
    DET over KC

I still need to narrow down these 4 to only 2 since I like to try and keep the amount of games I play each day reasonable for bankroll purposes this early in the season.

GL everyone and lets have a good season...

    GD Dodgers lol....

Golf took to long and missed damn near the rest of the day...

No time for write-ups as I'm dead tired, but we'll throw down 1U on the Angels and Mariners tonight and see if they wanna come through on OD. Basically going off pitching match-ups, but not sure how that's going to go as I was pretty far off with that GD Padilla fool lol. Should have listened to the majority on that one, but it's only day 1.

Cya all tomorrow when I get up and we'll see what we can come up with.
