    Mike's Daily Picks Thread
Hello I play mostly the money line sports so I am very excited for MLB to finally be here.I also have a NHL Thread.

Best play on the board is Seattle Mariners.
Felix Hernandez is the best pitcher casual fans don't know.Seattle is also 8-2 in Hernandez's last 10 starts vs. OAK and 17-5 in the last 22 meetings altogether.Oakland has Ben Sheets on the mound coming back from elbow surgery after missing all of 2009.He has also gotten roughed up this spring with an ERA of 11.20 which is better than the 31.15 it was after his 1st 3 starts.Look out for Seattle once Cliff Lee gets back. They could be the surprise of 2010.

Like to a lesser extent the Rockies over the Brewers.Rockies won all 6 meetings last year and are 13-3 last 16.Ubaldo Jimenez gets a tough match up vs Gallardo but he seems to be getting better year after year.

A little less I like the Marlins over the Mets. Marlins are 4-0 in Johnsons last 4 road starts vs. Mets and 6-0 overall.Santana is a question mark for the Mets and if I had to answer I'd say he is done. Also like the prop of Manuel being first manager fired this year.

Yet another play I really like but the juice is kinda high is the White Sox.Another pitcher who missed all last year with surgery is Westbrook who Cleveland sends to the mound. Also I know its going back a way but White Sox are 4-0 in the last 4 meetings when Buehrle faces Westbrook.

    ***** Seattle Mariners -125
    **** Colorado Rockies +115
    *** Florida Marlins +110
    ** Chicago White Sox -160

Just for the fun of it

    Phils -190
That is a lot of juice if you wanna lay it
    Reds +135
    Rangers -135
    Pittsburgh +135
    Atlanta -125
    Arizona -185
    Minnesota +120

    Det/KC
    Under 7
Under is 9-1 in Greinkes last 10 starts vs. Tigers against pitchers other than Verlander. Add Verlander to that equation

    SF/Hou
    Under 7
Probably cheapest you will get Linecum all year but Oswalt has been lights out this spring.

    Good luck this season

        7-3-1 at +450 with 2 left tonight

Already like a few tomorrow and with the lines skyrocketing over night gotta get them early most of the time.
AJ Burnett got hammered last year at Fenway (0-2) to the tune of 20 runs in 12.2 innings covering 3 starts. He gave up 22 hits as Boston as a team batted an unreal .379 against Burnett. On the other side Lester had a modest 4.43 ERA through 4 starts going 1-1 vs the Yanks. However his ERA was 2.86 through 14 starts at Fenway where opponents only batted .240 vs him.

Hurry and take the Red Sox -140 before it climbs

I will be taking Seattle a lot this year especially as a dog vs Oakland.
Mariners are 17-5 in the last 22 meetings vs the A's
Athletics are 3-12 in Bradens last 15 starts as a home favorite.
        Mariners +125

Nick Blackburn is 0-3 through 5 starts in his career vs the Angels.LAA also bats .345 against him.For LA Joe Saunders is 3-1 in 4 starts vs Min last 3 years.
        LAA -125 is low enough

Colorado won all six last year vs the Brew crew and the first game of the 2010 series. Also Rockies are 13-3 in the last 16 meetings and are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Milwaukee.
Rockies +130 seems like a steal

I don't really like taking the Houston much but Astros are 14-3 in Rodriguezs last 17 home starts.
        Houston -136

Edwin Jackson comes to Arizona from Detroit where he did well last year.He goes against Chris Young who is a solid pitcher .I think the price is way too high to take Arizona so if I had to play it I would take under 9.

        To Recap
