Thought I had it with a 5-1 lead in the 5th. Then I thought I had it again at 7-5. Couldn't close the door.

Lean hit, but wasn't confident enough to make the move on it.

Rough start to the season puts me down in the hole for opening day. No fear, long season, time to turn it around. And turn it around we will today with several plays.

That Seattle game shouldn't have been as close as it was. Tons of lost opportunities by the M's offense early. Bit them once Hernandez was taken out. Lucked out on that game in my eyes.

Oh what a day! Rebounding off of the opening night loss in style with a three game sweep on opening day. Phillies and Giants were no doubters and cruised, but the scare of the day came in the late game out in Oakland. For the first 6 innings everything went as predicted and then everything fell apart. Lucked out with an error in the 9th and Seattle survives in a game they should have won handedly.

So what to do as an encore? Tuesday’s docket only has 7 games to choose so the selection is limited. But still, there is always a play or two out there. Just got to find it.

Play: Milwaukee Brewers – 1 unit @ -160
Lean: I’m leaning to the high 9 over in MIL/COL. At EVEN, its worth a shot at, however, I’m going to play it safe for now, until the bankroll is built up a bit. Depending on my mood during the day, this could change to a play, especially if the line moves into the positive.

Play: Seattle Mariners – 2 Units @ +113
Play: Seattle/Oakland OVER – 1 Unit @ -120

Leans Elsewhere: I’m leaning towards Tampa Bay –235. Everything points to the Rays, but at –235, there isn’t enough value for me to pull the trigger. Millwood is down right awful against the Rays, especially at Tampa, and Shields is an early season pitcher that has Baltimore’s number. I’ll be watching this line and if it drops below –175, I may take it.

Well, wasn't expecting the pitching duel in Oakland. Cost me the over. Seattle offense was nonexistent and I'm surprised they even got a run, on a dropped third strike no less. Not much you can do with it.

Seattle rained on my parade last night, turning green into red. Who would have thought that Snell vs. Braden would have turned into the pitching duel that it became? But alas, the joy of Baseball, today is a new day. And a full day at that. Unfortunately, real life is controlling my picks today a little bit as I had no time to take a look at the day games. Luckily, I wasn’t feeling strongly about either game.

Four days in and I’m up over six. Can’t complain there. Looking to continue to build the bankroll, while not getting crazy with it. Last night I started to get a little crazy, throwing multiple units on several bets. Lucky for me, I only lost one bet. Could have been disastrous. Needed a late HR from Atlanta just to stay positive on the night. Who knew Ryan Dempster would pitch well in Atlanta?!

Yesterday was the first losing day since Opening Night. And I only lost due to the juice I had on the Philly game. Still was 1-1. Real life has hampered my ability to take a look at tonight’s game, so the plays will be smaller than usual. It’s not that I don’t like some match ups, just didn’t have the full amount of time that I devote to my plays.

Anyways, here they are, better late than never.

2-1 on the night, got burned on the juice and money management for the second straight night. Odd thing is, I was going to make all plays 1 unit, but decided at the last second to change the Sox game. If it worked out in my favor, I'd be bragging. Oh well.

Tomorrow I start the quest of better money management.

Took a day off for family reasons. Was good though gave me time to recharge and get ready for the new week. The record is good, the money making is not. Need to focus and get the money management better. So here we good. The second Sunday of the season.

What could have been a disasterous 0-3 day turns into a 2-1 day thanks to the SF offense in the late innings. 8 full days into the season and I'm up 7. Almost a unit a day. Would be very happy to keep up that pace for the full season.

Sunday started off awful with an O/u bet that went horribly wrong from the get go. The day looked even worse when San Francisco couldn’t score early. But the day ended great when the Giants scored 5 late runs to get the over and the win. Positive record and positive units, finally!

Monday brings a whole slew of opening days, time to capitalize on the moment.

Yet again, I’m getting burned on the juice and money management. Another positive record, but nothing to show of it money wise. This time however I did come out in the positive, albeit half a unit.

Tomorrow is another day. Heads up, it’s going to be very hard for me not to take the Yanks at whatever juice they are laying tomorrow. Rumor has it the ring ceremony is going to be amazing. Too much for the Angels to overcome.

Well so far we are a week and a half into the season, and I seem to have found the storyline for my season. Winning days, but not winning money. A major money management issue that I need to resolve. If it’s going to happen today, I’m going to need some luck and to win one key game.
